About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and organized individuals to join our team as a Tournament Organizers. As a Tournament Organizer, you will play a vital role in planning and executing fighting game events, ensuring smooth operations and an enjoyable experience for participants and spectators alike.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning and Coordination: Assist Lead Tournament Organizers with planning, organizing, and executing fighting game tournaments, including bracket organization, scheduling stream matches, and coordinating logistics i.e competitor registration, and prize distribution.
Competitor Management: Develop and maintain clear and comprehensive tournament knowledge, ensuring fair gameplay, sportsmanship, and adherence to competitive standards. Communicate rules to participants and enforce them throughout the event.
Competitor Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for tournament competitors, providing timely and accurate information regarding registration, rules, schedule, and any additional event details. Address additional inquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently.
Staff and Volunteer Management: Assist with managing event staff and volunteers, including content creators, brand ambassadors, and support personnel. Ensure that all team members are well-versed in their roles and responsibilities for the successful execution of the tournament.
Promotion and Marketing: Collaborate with the social media team to promote the tournament, increase event visibility, and attract a diverse pool of competitors. Utilize social media, community outreach, and partnerships to generate excitement and engagement.
Requirements
Qualifications
Passion for fighting games, esports, and competitive gaming culture.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, especially in high-pressure environments.
Prior experience in event planning, tournament organization, or esports management is highly desirable.
In-depth knowledge of popular fighting game titles, their competitive scenes, and the broader esports industry.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in utilizing tournament organization software and platforms i.e Start.GG and Matcherino.
Understanding of streaming and broadcasting elements for live tournament coverage.
